Know History, Know Self

Interactive Fiction about the value of cultural education & decolonization.

Introduction

This was an interactive fiction story built in Twine for CS 377G: Designing Serious Games. In this course, we are challenged to bring issues and topics we care about to the forefront of gaming experiences. For this project, I decided to investigate my relationship with my cultural identity, and I created something that speaks to the Pilipinx-American experience.

Read about how I did it, from conception to fruition, here!

My teacher and wonderful advisor, Christina Wodtke, even tweeted about it, here!

Here's a picture of me promoting Stanford PASU's (Pilipinx American Student Union) annual Pilipinx Culture night! I've participated through Kayumanggi, Stanford's traditional Pilipinx cultural dance group.
